Custom Orders

Handmade garments naturally carry small differences that make each piece individual.

  • Minor variations in colour, embroidery, embellishment, fabric texture, placement or finishing may occur because every piece is individually made.
  • These natural variations are a part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.

Measurements & Fit

Accurate measurements are essential for creating a well-fitted custom garment.

  • For custom orders, the customer is responsible for providing accurate measurements. Before production, the required measurements are confirmed with the customer, and the measurement details provided to us are treated as the final measurements for the order.
  • If you choose your size using our size chart, the relevant size chart and measurements are provided to you for confirmation before the order is processed. By approving the measurements or selecting a size from the provided size chart, you confirm that the details are correct.
  • Outfits by Deepshikhaa is not responsible for incorrect measurements provided or approved by the customer. If an outfit requires alteration because incorrect measurements were provided or an incorrect size was selected, the alteration will be chargeable.
  • Any shipping or courier costs involved in sending the outfit for alteration and returning it to the customer will also be borne by the customer.
  • We strongly recommend carefully checking all measurements before confirming your order. If you are unsure about your measurements, please contact us before placing the order.

Approvals & Communication

Clear communication is an important part of the custom-order process. Design details, measurements, fabric choices, references, and other important aspects of your order may require your confirmation before production.

  • Once an approval is given, the garment will be made according to the approved details.
  • Any changes requested after approval may affect the timeline and may involve additional charges, depending on the stage of production.
  • Please ensure that all measurements, preferences, and references shared with us are accurate and final before giving your approval.

Production Timeline

Handmade production takes time and timelines vary depending on the design and order requirements.

  • Every outfit is made to order, and the production timeline depends on the design, detailing, handwork, fabric availability, and overall complexity of the piece.
  • Once your order is confirmed, you will be informed of the expected production timeline.
  • As each garment is individually made, timelines may vary from one order to another. We always aim to complete your piece with the attention and finishing it requires rather than rushing the process.
  • Once your outfit is ready, it is carefully packed and prepared for dispatch.

Payments

Each piece is prepared specifically for the customer according to the details confirmed before production.

  • Please review the design, measurements, size, colour, fabric and other order details carefully before confirming.
  • An order is considered confirmed once the required details and payment have been received and accepted by the studio.
  • Requests made after confirmation may not always be possible to accommodate.

Cancellations

Delivery & Collection

Orders are shipped through reliable courier services such as Blue Dart or DTDC

  • Before dispatch, you will be contacted regarding the available delivery option.
  • Shipping charges are calculated according to the current rates charged by the courier service and may vary depending on the destination, package size, weight, and service selected.
  • Where applicable, the courier receipt or shipping details may also be shared with you once your order has been dispatched.
  • If you are collecting your order personally, collection details and timings will be communicated to you in advance.

Garment Care

Every garment comes with specific care instructions based on its fabric, construction, embellishments, and finishing

  • I will personally let you know how your particular piece should be cared for.
  • Many of our corsets and heavily structured or hand-worked garments contain fusing, internal structure, embellishments, and delicate detailing. Because of this, these pieces will most often require dry cleaning only.
  • Please follow the care instructions provided with your garment to maintain its shape, finish, detailing, and overall appearance.
